Another week, and another bunch of great post from around the cyber-world. We have news articles on Todd Bentley, Rod Parsley, various denominations that are falling from their traditional standards of morality, as well as someone who readily defends Todd Bentley (but he praises The Shack, which explains a lot).

The Church of Ireland seems to be having problems with standing for, well, anything. And if you think censorship concerning homosexuality isn’t coming to the good ole U.S. of A. then you are wrong…read it here. Of course, some erroneously believe that the fires in California is the wrath of God. Honestly, don’t they read the bible?

It seems that the Anglicans are turning back to Rome for salvation…

And this is recommend by a friend of the blog who comments that this is what happens when you leave the principle of sola scriptura. And Luther wasn’t all that bad on sola scriptura.

Below is a video concerning the Welsh Revival in the early 20th century. What a stark difference between that type of revival and that of Todd B. and the plethora of his ilk. Also, please notice that these were coal miners, and if you know coal miners, you know what kind of hart sot these people are.

Now, you have to admit, even with doctrinal differences, that ‘revival’ is better than Todd B’s. The below video shows that at least one got through the screeners!

At least England is waking up to Todd B. And taking this guy as a que, can we see the devil behind Todd? Remember yesterday’s post on ABC News’ story (which ran on Nightline) on Todd Bentley and the so-called revival that is going by many names (Lakeland Revival, Lakeland Outpouring, Florida Revival, Florida Outpouring), and his comment? Well, it seems that he is a big fan of the Shack, which explains a great deal about his ‘theology’ or lack thereof and why he is so easily deceived by Todd Bentley. On Infant Theologian, he has a couple outstanding posts on Todd Bentley, including one linking to this humble blogger.

Or what about Rod P.’s non-doctrinal stance on Christ in the synagogue. Do any of these tv preachers actually read the Bible or just pick out the fun words? Notice the men in birthday hats? The worldly looking audience?

What if this ’sensitivity’ comes to the U.S.? Wait, I mean when… Can you imagine having your child forced to pray to Allah? This is why I am no fan of prayer in schools. Look what Colorado did. And here.

John Hobbins has an interesting point to make in dealing with the use of etymology of Hebrew. I wonder what he would say about the Inclusive Bible.

The title of this one drew me in. Sin lives in a Costume. While this title is a bit offensive, but sometimes it needs to be, afterall, the issue at hand is something that people have built doctrines on (Sons of God/Daughters of Mens).

Think that gay gospel musicians was bad? What about ditching the gospel in music for something more ‘contemporay‘?

This is an article on CNN.com that sheds a little bit of light on the victims of the prosperity cult. I wonder if we could get them on the truth in advertising law?

We know that Christ speaks expressly about the Scriptures says that the Messiah was to be dead for three days and then rise. The parts of the Bible that mention it are usually interpreted in conjecture, but this stone seems to tesitfy to the tradition from a non-canonical source. Here is a blog that discusses some of it. This blogger makes an interesting point as well. For me, it is interesting to see the 3-day motif actually find itself expressed before Christ and I find that it only increases my faith in that the Scriptures are true. Comedy Central FoxNews ran this article on Wednesday, with the headline, ‘Jesus’ Resurrection Foretold?’ The first line of the article reads, “The death and resurrection of Jesus Christ has been called into question by a radical new interpretation of a tablet found on the eastern bank of the Dead Sea” Since when was it not called into question?

John Bunyon (Pilgrim’s Progress) wrote the following points concerning those that are coming to Christ.

Lanis, a new friend of the blog, has a post on the intrinsic persona of God in Christ. While this blogger posts on the difficulties of illustrating the Trinity.

To some, the Iraqi war is a tragedy beyond words. Here, we find something else to add to the reasoning that supports that.

I know that I posted this yesterday, but it really is a good response.

I hope that others enjoy these posts as well, and I am working on a way for others to contribute as well, but that will have to wait until next time…

  1. Can’t help yourself can you? I’m asking you to identify yourself, fully come out into the light and be as Christ-like in your conversations about issues as would be expected of a follower of Christ. As is, you fail the love test. Brother, you could have your doctrine 100% correct and yet you emit zero love and the Bible calls you a resounding gong and clanging symbol. The Bible says you must not be a disciple of Jesus because his disciples are known by the love they show each other. Instructive isn’t it, that Jesus’ disciples weren’t known by having a “correct” understanding of him and his Word. Jesus taught them to love, even enemies. You also flunk the fruit test. You flunk the light test as you criticize me as being a shoddy theologian and yet your credentials are where? You operate under the guise of deceptive alias’ as you bear false witness against me and others in the body of Christ. (Bearing false witness is one of the ten commandments by the way)

I have two degrees from repudable evangelical seminaries on my wall besides a BA in Bible and I could produce a dozen endorsements from respected theologians. I’ve written books, one a commentary on 1-2 Timothy/Titus that is published by a major Christian publishing house. Who again are you? My degrees and credentials actually mean nothing to me. I don’t put DR before my name - I wear jeans and love people all day. I treasure being alone with Jesus. People tell me they can tell I’ve been with him. Do people say the same of you?

Or, are you like those in John 5 who, though diligently studying the Scriptures to find life, refuse to come to Jesus for life. I teach people that salvation is Jesus plus nothing. Apparently you proclaim a Jesus plus gospel. That is, a Jesus plus ascribing-to-your-narrow-interpretations-of-selected-Scriptures gospel.

So, identify yourself or know that you are among those in remaining in the darkness shooting arrows at God’s people. (Psalm 64) God promises he will deal with your types so my email here is actually unnecessary - except for the Biblical admonition to go to the brother who has something against you. I’d also like you to tell me who your accontability people are - name and contact info. I put myself out there on a blog with full disclosure and accountability to known elders and overseers. It’s very unlike Christ to what you are doing? Until you identify yourself, reveal your great theological credentials, talk in a loving manner even if you respectfully disagree, I will continue to delete your comments and pingbacks on my blog. It doesn’t look like you get much traffic anyway, but until things between you and me change - which is God’s expressed will for his followers - I’m not going to give you the benefit of my traffic heading your way.

  2. Steve, I guess if you don’t like the attention, don’t post such garbage. Indeed, the bible does say that known by the love we show one another, however, since you are not a disciple of Jesus Christ, the greatest love that I can show you is to tell you the truth. Did they now hate Christ who whipped the money changers at the Temple, showing them great love by telling them the truth? I can do no less then to give verbal whippings every now and then.

Steve, I appreciate your condescending attitude, as it fits someone who sits high places, (I hope you get that remark). Can you show me where I lied concerning you or Todd Bentley, the False Prophet?

Degrees? Credentials? Tell, Steve, did Peter, James and John have such things? It seems to me that you use these worldly things to lift yourself up in a pharisaic fashion while demeaning those that actually possess the truth. In no way, Steve, do degrees, the amount of publishing, or anything of this world prevent you and your ivory tower from crashing down due to poor doctrine and bad choices on whom to follow.

People know that you have been with Jesus? You mean the same people that just love and adore such filth as the Shack? Those people? Those people that support Todd Bentley, indicating that they cannot tell a minister of light from a minister of darkness? These are your references? Steve, I would seek better people to tell you where you have been, rather, you need people to tell you where you are going.

Steve, please, don’t consider me a brother, as we don’t have the same father, for those in my family can spot a false prophet with their eyes closed (which you seem to be wearing spiritual blinders anyway). Do I have a need to identify myself? Not really. If you wish, you can email me, since I am pretty sure that I left my email on your site.

Steve, unless you come to the full revelation of Jesus Christ, or I decide that I don’t really care about my soul, things will not change. Until then, Steve, I will be praying for you, and for all of those that you reach, that someday soon you come to know and love the God I serve.

  3. Steve, by the way, people have used my name on here, all you have to do is to look.

  4. Polycarp, I’ve studied revival history and Evan Roberts is one of my favorites. He would begin his meeting with each person standing up one at a time and reciting “Send the Holy Spirit now, for Jesus Christ sake”. The revival grew so fast they had to keep changing venues.(Like Lakeland)
While I love to study the great revivalist, I am alive now and have been fasting, praying and reading the Word everyday for many years in order to ask the Lord to revive our nation. It’s great to live in a time when the Holy Spirit of the living Savior Jesus Christ is saving, healing, and delivering people all over the world. I hope you don’t miss the hour of your visitation like the religious leaders in Jesus day.
By the way, I was healed in Lakeland. When did Satan start healing people in Jesus Name bringing glory to God the Father?

  5. PC (I guess your anonymity would fail the Hickey Test), can you point to the kind of emotionalism that is going on in these ‘revivals’ as being Biblically grounded? Can you actually point to a ‘revival’ as being biblically based?

In Revelation 13, we see that the false prophet can performe miracles. In Matthew 7.22-23, we read,

22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

    You asked,

By the way, I was healed in Lakeland. When did Satan start healing people in Jesus Name bringing glory to God the Father?

I believe that your question as been answered.

  6. I think “faith healers” greatly miss the point. Faith is an intricate part of any saint filled with the Holy Ghost. Healing has already been paid for and offered before our encounter of need. Why do I have to chase after some individual proclaiming such power and pay them as they seek funds constantly? Paul didn’t seek out or pay one when he was snake bit. Jesus Christ was and is the only healer! Man can pray a prayer of faith, [any man, woman, child of God]and Jesus Christ will respond. He may not heal all, Paul carried a ‘thorn’ in the flesh to death. Maybe he needed to have met one of these guys that have so much education, they could have convinced our Lord to remove it.

  7. Lanis, it is truly a joy to have your insight on this blog (especially after such comments as these.) Paul made the point of never asking for money or support, and being one born into a high class and never having learned a trade, he become a labor so that he could feed himself while he preached the gospel.

Again, thank you for your presence here.

  8. TODD BENTLEY ~ PETER WAGNER ~ OPEN HEAVENS STAR GATES ~ GATEKEEPERS ~ BRINGING GOD’S KINGDOM TO EARTH
It is very mysterious. Todd has disappeared suddenly. Just as suddenly as EMMA-O was yanked off his web page, without explanation, Todd simply disappeared.
Remember dear Christian brothers and sisters, the war FOR TRUTH is NOT OVER. Todd Bentley is just one symptom of the problem. When it seemed that he was losing the battle a powerful reinforcing army came forth for his defense. It was then, that we could see the seriousness of the problem that is facing the church appear. Forces that have been received for years came out into the open before the entire world that exposed witchcraft practices and doctrines of devils.
We were accused of “dividing the Body of Christ.” Touching God’s anointed,” Blaspheming the Holy Ghost,” and every strange thing in the world while a very perverse man was snatching souls in front of the world.
I was part of an army of women in the seventies that fought against the ERA. Our side won that battle and defeated the radical women libbers. However, every bit of that Constitutional Amendment is part of our lives today. Congress legislated it piece by piece into existence. We are living today with so many radical things because the women that won that battle simply went back to sleep.
Church don’t go back to sleep! Keep alert and by all means Todd is simply one little piece of the raging battle for the church. Keep fighting on and defeat the gates of hell that Jesus promised would not prevail against the church.
Remember, his release said he was taking a rest, it didn’t say that he was not coming back.
OPENING THE PORTALS TO THE THIRD HEAVENS TO THE DEMONIC REALMS ~ PETER WAGNER SAYS, TODD BENTLEY is the”PORTAL (STAR GATE) TO THE FUTURE” He also said that they are connecting heaven’s gate to earth! According to the Bible, God’s Kingdom has already come to the Earth. Jesus Christ is the Mediator that has already connected God’s Kingdom to the Earth and heaven, See Ephesians Chapter one. It is a power that is not Bentley’s and Wagner’s to give.
We must not forget the group of mystical Christians operating in extra-biblical fashion to open the paranormal doors to heaven TO THE CHRISTIAN CHURCH. It is a tremendously large army called Joel’s Army that is still on the move to conquer the church and millions of souls.

Here are a few members of the Latter Rain Movement and few terms that identify them. Todd Bentley, Peter Wagner, Rick Joyner, Che Arn, John Paul Jackson, Jill Austin, Randolph and Kris Vallotton, Randy Clark, Rodney Howard-Browne, Patricia King, Stacey Campbell, Kenneth Hagin, Jr, Chuck Pierce, Dutch Sheets, Bill Johnson, Barbara Yoder, Bob Jones, Paul Cain, Stephen Strader, Cindy Jacobs. Terminology used: Apostolic Alignment, Gatekeepers, opening portals to the Third Heavens.
Think about it. We have Christian’s leaders who are “Opening the Star Gates to bring forth supernatural entities that they are calling angels (the Winds of Change and to the Nations). Many Christians are sleeping and do not know that they are mixing the Christian faith with witchcraft.”
Todd Bentley says, SPIRITUAL ENTITIES & STAR GATES will CREATE SUPER HUMANS “OPEN HEAVENS BRING GOD’S KINGDOM TO EARTH” Then, as heaven manifests in the natural realm, both the rule and the reign of Jesus Christ will be known in the earth. “Let God be glorified!” Yet, don’t miss this: The key to bringing that manifestation to earth is an open heaven—a portal through which the kingdom of God invades the earth!
See m my latest article concerning Todd Bentley’s article about “Opening the Star Gates to the Third Heaven.”
